While games like Ion Fury and Prodeus pay tribute to older gaming eras by intentionally emulating the visual style and gameplay mechanics, the System Shock remake takes a different approach by aiming to recreate the original experience with updated technology and enhanced gameplay elements to allow both longtime fans and new players to experience the game in a modern context which offers improved immersion and accessibility.
